Scientific workshop: Hue royal and folk cuisine

(VOVworld) – A scientific workshop on Hue royal and folk cuisine was held on Tuesday as part of the Hue Festival 2016. The workshop provided new documents for Hue’s cuisine and promoted Hue and Vietnamese cuisine to international friends.

Thua Thien Hue province is compiling a dossier to be submitted to UNESCO for recognition of Hue cuisine as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Earlier, the Hue International Food Festival 2016 closed on Monday. 2 first prizes were given to the Lao delegation and Huong Giang hotel in Thua Thien Hue. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism presented prizes to 14 Vietnamese organizations and 5 prizes to international delegations attending the festival. More than 100,000 visitors attended the food festival.
