Second Asia-Europe Music Festival opens in Hanoi
(VOVworld) - The second Asia-Europe Music Festival and the 34th Asian Composers League Festival and Conference opened at the Hanoi Opera House on Wednesday night.

Nearly 200 artists and musicians from 30 countries and territories including Britain, Poland, Canada, Australia, Spain, and Turkey joined the event. Huu Thinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, said: “The festival reviews the development of the music industry in Asian and European countries. It’s a good opportunity for artists from the two continents to exchange and learn from one another”.
The festival includes a main concerts and 100 selected musical pieces. On the sideline of the event will be two workshops featuring Asian-European new music and the Vietnamese monochord.
The festival will end on October 18.
