Seminar discusses the role of state audit in public financial administration

(VOVworld) – The State Audit of Vietnam and the USAID in Vietnam organized a seminar on the value and benefit of state audits in public financial administration.

More than 150 delegates attending the seminar in Hanoi on Thursday analyzed basic issues of public finance and public financial management in Vietnam and the role of state audits in improving the effectiveness of public financial management. Vice Auditor General Dao Xuan Tien said the State Audit of Vietnam has drafted the State Audit Law in order to improve transparency and effectiveness in the state budget set up.
“The seminar’s outcome will be an important basis for the State Audit’s development strategy until 2020 which aims to improve its capacity, legal validity, and efficiency in monitoring, supervising, and using public finances and assets. The State Audit aims to improve the quality of its activities and staff to meet the requirements of national industrialization and modernization.”
