(VOVworld) – The Republic of Korea will help the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to attract foreign investment if the latter gives up its nuclear ambitions.

Choi Kyung-hwan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, said on Thursday that if Pyongyang abandons its nuclear weapons program, they will cooperate with Northeast Asian countries to actively support DPRK’s accession to international financial organizations and attraction to international investors.

In another development, Son Kwang-ho, vice chairman of the DPRK’s National Olympic Committee, said no cheerleaders would be dispatched to the upcoming Asian Games to be held in Incheon city, the Republic of Korea from September 19 to October 4.
