(VOVworld) - Singapore’s National Day was celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday by the municipal Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Singapore Friendship Association (VSFA).

The VSFA President in HCM City, Nguyen Thanh Rum, extended his best wishes to the Singaporean people, adding that bilateral relations between the two nations have grown steadily, especially since Vietnam became an ASEAN member country in 1995. Forty years after the two countries established diplomatic ties, they have become major trade and investment partners. Rum also affirmed the wishes of the Vietnamese people, including Ho Chi Minh City’s to further strengthen exchanges, fortify friendship and continue stronger cooperation with Singapore.
