The Vietnamese government pledges favorable conditions for Thai investors

(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has lauded the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association for its contributions to the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand.

Meeting with Chairman of the association Prachuab Chaiyasan in Bangkok on Friday, the PM said he hopes the association will continue to work closely with the Vietnamese side in boosting people-to-people exchanges. He took the occasion to express his condolences for the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.  The PM was in Bangkok to pay respect to the late King of Thailand. On that day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received President of Siam Cement Group (SCG) Roongrote Rangsiyopash and President of SCG Chemicals Cholanat Yanaranop.  The SCG has operated in Vietnam since 1992, producing tiles, industrial packaging and PVC plastic, among other products. The company and the Petrol Vietnam are co-investing in the Long Son petrochemical complex (LSP), with total capital estimated at between 5 and 6 billion USD. Phuc said he is looking forwards to the success of the LSP project, expecting it to become a symbol of bilateral ties. Phuc said the Vietnamese government is willing to create favourable conditions for Thai investors.
