The global coalition against IS commits long-term cooperation
(VOVworld) – Foreign Ministers and high-ranking representatives of more than 60 countries gathered in Washington for a summit of the coalition fighting the Islamic State.

| Foreign ministers from more than 60 countries have gathered in Washington to discuss how the fight against IS should proceed in the future. |
They also discussed assistance for the resettlement in areas freed from IS in Iraq and Syria. The participants appreciated Iraq’s government military for liberating 60% of its territory from IS and gained progress in retaking Mosul.
After the meeting, the coalition of 68 countries committed to provide 2 billion USD for activities to stabilize life and guarantee safety for people in liberated areas in Syria and Iraq.
