(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s 9th Information Security Day has opened in Hanoi with the participation of users and IT development community.

Various activities will be held under the theme “new era of cyber security”, gathering  representatives from large global enterprises who will share their experience in ensuring information security. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Thanh Hung was speaking in the event: “The Ministry of Information and Communications asks Vietnam Information Security Association and stakeholders to join our efforts in communications and awareness raising activities to build up knowledge on information security. We want to promote the development of Vietnamese products and services for information security to be used domestically towards a safe and secured information society for all organizations and individuals.”
Major companies, including Google, Microsoft, and IBM, shared with audience their information security solutions and experience in coping with cyber attacks. During the annual event, round-table workshops will take place with a focus on policy reforms and technology innovation in information security.
