The resolution drafted by Jordan did not meet Libya’s administration’s proposal to lift the four-year arms embargo, but opened the door to exemptions on a case-by-case basis. The measure called on a Security Council committee to “consider expeditiously” requests for arms purchases from Libya. The resolution extends the measures against illicit oil exports from the country until March, 2016.
