The UN Security Council

(VOVworld) – The UN Security Council has adopted a resolution on the responsibility of related parties for attacks on humanitarian workers and request for unlimited access to people in need of emergency support.
The resolution strongly accuses all kinds of violence or threats on people engaging in humanitarian campaigns, attacks on humanitarian convoys, and activities to destroy their assets. The resolution calls on relevant parties in the armed conflict to allow humanitarian workers to have unlimited and full access to the civilian victims and urges UN member countries to punish all violence against the humanitarian force.
