(VOVworld) - US President Barack Obama on Monday signed into law the trade promotion authority (TPA), the so-called fast track trade authority, which was approved by the US Senate and the US House of Representatives last week. Obama told reporters that the TPA will help finalize the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP Agreement) with 11 partner countries. He said that even with the TPA, TPP negotiations will not be finalized soon since there are still some tough negotiations ahead. The TPA which will valid until 2021, grants President Obama and his successors full authority in trade deal negotiations with outside partners. This is one of the biggest successes of the Obama administration. It will clear the doubts of the 11 countries negotiating the Trans Pacific Partnership with the US.

Singing the TPA is one of President Obama’s top priorities before he leaves 0the White House in early 2017.
