US Secretary of State visits China
(VOVworld) - US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Saturday arrived in China for the final leg of his first official trip to Asia, following visit to Japan and South Korea. He will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

During his visit to Korea, Mr. Tillerson said the policy of strategic patience has ended and the US is considering all options to counter North Korea’s nuclear threat, including potential military action.

South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se voiced strong support for Tillerson’s call for more effective measures to dismantle North Korea nuclear program. He stressed that the THAAD missile defense system being deployed in South Korea is only a defensive measure against North Korea.
