(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan has praised the contributions of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army to safeguarding national defense.

He asked the Department to cooperate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in activities to care for the people in border areas and to show support for those who rendered great service to the nation. He added that the two sides should work more closely in communication activities towards the 70^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 25 years of all people’s defense day. He also urged close coordination to organize the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Friendship Border Conference later this year.
