Vietnam, Cuba boost relations between National Assemblies, peoples

(VOVworld) – National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong met with Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, the Second Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Kenia Serrano, President of The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on Thursday and Friday as part of her visit to Cuba.

At a meeting with Machado Ventura, both leaders exchanged their experiences in Party and National Assembly affairs, and the pace of renewal in Vietnam and the update of socio-economic model in Cuba. They reiterated their determination to consolidate the time-honored relations between the two Parties, National Assemblies, States, and nations.

While meeting with Kenia Serrano, the Vice Chairwoman said she hopes mass organizations of Vietnam and Cuba will boost cooperation to create a close bond between the two countries. Serrano said Vietnam is always a source of inspiration for Cuban people’s movements on uniting with people all over the world.
