Vietnam, Cuba seek stronger cooperation

The Vietnamese Party leader praised the development of bilateral cooperation between the Parties, states, peoples, and particularly armed forces of the two countries. Senior Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias praised Vietnam’s achievements over the past few years saying that they provided a lesson for Cuba to implement its guidelines on “updating” socio-economic development model.

The same day, the Cuban delegation met with President Tran Dai Quang. President Quang said Vietnam is persistent to building socialism and a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, and international integration. The Vietnamese President praised the close cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces and promised to create conditions to boost bilateral defense cooperation.
