(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang says Vietnam has 30-year experience in renewal and consistently follows its goal of an open market for development while safeguarding national independence and sovereignty.

Mr. Sang said this at a reception for visiting President of Cuban People's Supreme Court Ruben Remigio Ferro in Hanoi on Thursday.

He said in the judicial field, the highest goal is to protect the regime, legitimate rights of the state and people through which to consolidate people’s trust.

He added Vietnam is ready to share its experience with Cuba and highlighted the need for both to increase exchange in all sector like legislation, judiciary, and training.

The Cuban guest expressed his hope to learn Vietnam’s growth experience in the new period and affirmed that Vietnam’s experience in external relations and socio-economic development is good lessons for Cuba.

Ferro said Cuba’s success in normalizing relations with the US is not only the success of Cuban people but also international friends including Vietnam.
