(VOVworld) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic's Armed Forces Petr Pavel is leading a delegation on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the People's Army of Vietnam. During talks after an official reception for the guests on Friday, both sides discussed measures to boost bilateral defense ties in the future, focusing on the exchange of high-level delegations, training, the military industry, scientific research, military technology, maintenance of weapons and technical equipment among others.
Based on content agreed after discussions, the relevant agencies of the two defense ministries will develop and soon sign an action plan on bilateral defense cooperation, which aims to effectively implement the content of the two defense ministries’ Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation.
