(VOVworld) – Vietnam and Egypt have agreed to strengthen bilateral economic co-operation to put it on a par with their fine political relationship.

The statement was made Sunday at the 8^th political consultation co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam and Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Yeser Morad.
During a visit to Egypt that began last Friday, Nam and his Egyptian counterpart Morad focused on ways to foster bilateral ties in politics and culture.
Nam also met with Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation Anwar El Ehwany. The two leaders called for closer cooperation in economics, trade, and investment.
