Vietnam, Greece boost ties

(VOVworld)- On Monday, Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received a delegation of the Communist Party of Greece led by its General Secretary Dimitrios Koutsoumpas.

In his address, the Greek Party leader highlighted the development of bilateral ties between the two Parties and said he hoped to enhance the traditional friendship and cooperation between Greece and Vietnam. He reiterated the need to respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country, and supported the settlement of disputes in the East Sea through peaceful means in line with international law. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said the Communist Party of Vietnam wants to further enhance cooperation with the Communist Party of Greece. He urged the two sides to further bilateral cooperation. The same day, the Greek delegation held talks with the Vietnamese delegation led by Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, a member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party External Relations Committee.
