Vietnam, Israel boost multi-faceted cooperation

(VOVworld) – Vietnam hopes Israel will continue to share its experiences on agriculture, science and technology, education and training and multilateral diplomacy.

At a reception for visiting Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said in the coming time the two sides need to boost delegation exchanges at all levels and raise two-way trade turnover to 2 billion USD, as well as complete procedures to reach an agreement on science and technology and a cooperative program on education and training. Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Hotovely spoke highly of Vietnam’s position in the region, saying that Israel considers Vietnam an important partner and wishes to develop multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam.

Earlier, Ms. Hotovely held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam. They discussed measures to promote bilateral cooperation in politics, diplomacy, trade, agriculture, science and technology, education and training. After the talks, the two sides signed an agreement on the provision of income for relatives of those who work at diplomatic agencies and consulates.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hotovely will pay a courtesy visit to Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan and President of the Vietnam-Israel Friendship Parliamentarians Group Tran Dinh Nha.
