Vietnam, Japan enhance education collaboration

(VOVworld) – The third Vietnam – Japan University Presidents’ Conference opened on Monday in Da Nang city with the participation of more than 200 representatives from Vietnamese and Japanese universities.

The conference is an opportunity for university presidents and managers to share their experiences in tertiary education management. Bui Van Ga is Deputy Minister of Education and Training: “Many Vietnamese and Japanese universities are promoting cooperation. A number of projects have been implemented and some Japanese universities have opened representative offices in Vietnam. I highly appreciate the cooperation in training and research between our universities”.

Over the past years, Japan has supported Vietnam in projects to improve technology and capacity. Japan provides 100 scholarships to Vietnamese students to study in Japan every year.
