(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith in Hanoi on Tuesday, saying she hopes that the Lao leader will pay more attention to boosting cooperation between the two countries across fields, particularly in economy, investment, and trade.

The Lao PM said he hopes the National Assemblies of Laos and Vietnam will work together to improve the two legislatures’ performance. He urged Vietnam to help the two governments implement agreements and joint investment and trade projects to ensure the success of the cooperative plan between the two governments in 2016.
