(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh has proposed the Defense Ministries of Vietnam and Singapore build a long-term cooperation plan and increase the exchange of delegations to seek more effective measures to promote bilateral ties. Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh made the suggestion at a reception for Chan Yeng Kit, Permanent Secretary at the Singaporean Ministry of Defense, in Hanoi on Tuesday. He said Vietnam and Singapore have developed the comprehensive cooperation, especially defense ties, since the establishment of diplomatic  ties in 1973. Both sides signed an agreement on defense cooperation through many joint activities in navy, army medicine, defense industry, and foreign language training.
