(VOVworld) – Party Politburo member Le Hong Anh is on a 2-day visit to China as the special envoy of Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong.

On Tuesday he received Wang Jiarui, vice-chairperson of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People´s Political Consultative Conference. Anh reiterated the purpose of his visit, which was to discuss ways to restore and foster relations between the two parties and nations. He stressed the need for both sides to increase cooperation and develop bilateral relations in the context of global complications and tensions in the East Sea, which had impacted their relations and regional security, peace, and stability. Anh said he hoped that Wang Jiarui with his knowledge of Vietnam would contribute to bolstering and promoting relations between the two countries.

Wang Jiarui said that China valued Anh’s visit as an envoy of the Vietnamese party leader and believed that the visit would help to settle disputes and differences between the two countries and promote their relations.
