Vietnam and Laos leaders foster special bilateral ties

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid visits to Laos’ former Party and State leader on Thursday as part of his official two-day visit to Laos. He met with former Party chief and President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone, General Sisavath Keobounphanh, former Prime Minister and President of the Lao Front for National Construction, and Lao former Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong.

At the meetings, Prime Minister Phuc hailed former Lao leaders’ great contribution to their revolutionary cause as well as to Vietnam-Laos ties. Also that day, PM Phuc and his entourage laid a wreath at the unknown fallen martyrs’ monument in Vientiane.

Elsewhere, Prime Minister Phuc also chaired a meeting with Vietnamese investors. The Prime Minister said the Party and State promised to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese investors in order to expand their business in Laos.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Hanoi concluding his official visits to Cambodia and Laos. The visits contributed to boosting the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia and the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
