The Prime Minister said he expected the two countries’ environmental ministries to promote cooperation projects and share information about Vietnam’s possible participation in the Convention on the Protection and Use of Trans-boundary Watercourses and International Lakes. Minister Pholsena informed the Prime Minister about recent talks between the two environmental ministries on recycling technology used in waste treatment. The Minister committed Laotian effort to comply with the Mekong International Commission and related laws on the development of hydro power projects in Mekong River.
