(VOVworld) – Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Huynh Ngoc Son received Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lankan parliament Chandima Weerakkody at the National Assembly House on Thursday.

They agreed to further the traditional friendly relationship between the two countries, especially in legislation, economics, and culture. Mr. Son asked Sri Lanka to work closely with the Vietnamese National Assembly to oversee the implementation of agreements signed between the two nations on investment, finance, machinery, and agricultural development to generate a favorable legal environment for their businesses and people.
He said that he hoped the Sri Lankan parliament to ratify the agreement for the Promotion and Protection of Investment signed by the two governments in 2009.
