(VOVworld) – Vietnam attaches importance to boosting its traditional friendship with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said while receiving UAE ambassador to Vietnam, Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani, in Hanoi on Wednesday.

The host and guest concurred that there was huge potential for the two sides to optimize their cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and labor. They also underlined the need to bolster win-win cooperation through exchange visits and mutual support at international forums, as well as increase the sharing of law-making experience. They agreed that the two countries would work closely to bring their two-way trade to 5 billion USD in 2014. The National Assembly Vice Chairwoman called on investors from the UAE to pour more investment into projects in Vietnam.
