Vietnam was invited to the event as the host of the APEC Year 2017.
Speaking at the event, Minh mentioned Vietnam’s theme and priority orientations of APEC Year as well as proposed priority tasks that APEC and G20 2017 could perform together. The Vietnamese delegation gave constructive feedback on economic connectivity promotion, global and regional trade, anti-protectionism, climate change response, food security, effective use of Mekong River water resources, trilateral cooperation in supporting Africa, which have been welcomed by the host country and participants.
