Vietnam fine-tunes institutions for 4th industrial revolution: PM

(VOVworld)-Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivered a speech at a session on strong governance in the 4th industrial revolution and met executives of world major groups at the just concluded World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Prime Minister Phuc called on governments to fine-tune institutions and policies to meet the demand of the 4th industrial revolution, whose advantages should be fully taken to address global issues like new energy development, water resource security, sustanable organic agriculture, and response to natural calamities, epidemics and climate change. Mr. Phuc said Vietnam is encouraging startup, innovation and creativity and building an e-government.

On the sidelines of the WEF meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met Ukranian President Petro Poroshenco, Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Jose Vinals, Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and CNN International Commercial President Rani Raad to boost cooperation and attract investment in Vietnam.
