Vietnam hails UN peacekeeping operations

(VOVworld) - Vietnam is ready to dispatch forces to take part in UN peacekeeping missions whenever requested. Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, made the statement at a reception for the Mobile Training Support Team of the UN Integrated Training Service in Hanoi yesterday/ Monday.

He told Director of the Training Course Adil Fichtali that Vietnam appreciates the UN peacekeeping mission to ensure international peace and security, resolve disputes and conflicts through peaceful measures, and supporting countries cope with regional and global stresses.
General Tuan said he expects UN agencies to support Vietnam’s Peace Keeping Center. Lieutenant Colonel Adil Fichtali said the Mobile Training Support Team will help Vietnam improve its peacekeeping force to serve the UN mission.
