The Vietnamese Party and State care for the well-being and health of the old. Those in a good health condition and with professional knowledge are encouraged to contribute to Vietnam’s development.

Dam Huu Dac, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Association of the Elderly, told the media: “This year’s theme of countering ageism is relevant to reality. The Association has provided the elderly with health checkups and involved them in Vietnam’s development through programs to collect warm clothes, upgrade houses, protect the environment, and build new-style rural areas.”
