(VOVworld) - The 2015 Havana International Fair (FIHAV) opened in Cuba on Monday, welcoming 70 countries including Vietnam to participate.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca said this year’s fair has attracted the biggest number of companies over the past 15 years, illustrating the increasing attention and trust of the international community in the Cuban market.

Malmierca who is also chief of the organizing board reiterated Cuba’s expansion of trade pursuant to the set strategy to diversify its foreign trade ties, especially in biological technology and service.

As part of the 2-day trade fair, a ‘Vietnamese Day’ and a business forum among Vietnamese and Cuban enterprises will be held.
