Vietnam participates in 47th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings
(VOVworld) – The 47th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings were completed in Malaysia on Tuesday.
The Vietnamese delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu. Delegates discussed directions to complete measures to develop the ASEAN Economic Community by the end of the year and a roadmap for the community’s development towards 2025. Topics for discussion included trade promotion and facilitation to reduce costs and improve business competitiveness. Vietnam has continued to promote regional cooperation initiatives with Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Mekong sub-region countries and Japan in order to increase economic connectivity and establish sub-regional economic hubs.
