Vietnam pledges favorable condition for US businesses and investors
(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met acting Trade Representative Stephen Vaught, Congress assistants and business representatives during his visit to the US on Friday.

During the meetings, Minh pledged the Vietnamese government’s willingness to cooperate with the US, especially in trade, investment and business cooperation, He praised US business committed support for Vietnam’s successful hosting of the APEC Summit this year.
US Congress assistants confirmed bipartisan support for comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam and more efforts to resolve war consequences, especially the detoxification of Agent Orange/dioxin and removal of unexploded mines and ordnances.
They shared the Congress interest in the East Sea issues, especially the secure navigation and aviation safety and security and settlement of disputes by peaceful means based on international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
