(VOVworld)- 1.2 million foreign tourists visited Vietnam in February, representing a 42.2% year-on-year increase.

Minister and Head of the Government Office, Mai Tien Dung, told a press conference following the regular government meeting on March 1^st that the record high number of foreign tourists was thanks to various activities held during Vietnam’s spring festivals:“The tourism sector continues to grow with 2.2 million foreign tourists since early this year, or 33% rise. This is a positive start to achieve the national yearly target of 11.5 million tourists.”
