(VOVworld) - A recent survey by the World Economic Forum shows that Vietnam ranks 71st in competition in the domestic market, 77th in the efficiency of monopoly prevention, and 64^th in distribution market of economic groups among 140 competitive economies worldwide.

The main reason behind these modest rankings is a lack of a comprehensive policy and adequate legislation on competition. The Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) reveals that Vietnam will build a policy on comprehensive competition in 2017. Experts have suggested that the government should create an equal playground between State-owned and private enterprises, prevent monopoly, and ensure fair competition.
