Vietnam to invest more in science and technology

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has promised greater investment in personnel and infrastructure in the science and technology sector. His pledge was made on Monday during a visit to FPT University and the opening ceremony of the software village F-Ville at Hoa Lac High-tech Industrial Park in Hanoi.

Dam stressed the importance of information technology to Vietnam’s development and the start-up movement. He recommended that the sector grasp development opportunities and promote new research, management, and policies. The Deputy Prime Minister said high-tech areas like F-Ville are vital to involving Vietnam in the 4th industrial revolution. Vietnam needs 1 million IT workers in the coming years.
