(VOVworld) - Vietnam rose 30 places in the latest KOF index of globalization ranking released by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday. The Netherlands tops the list, followed by Ireland and Belgium. Switzerland is in fifth place.

Based on 23 variables, the KOF Index measures the economic, political and social dimensions of globalization of 187 countries and territories using data available between 1970 and 2014.
