Vietnam-China Friendship Association hold 5th National Congress

(VOVworld) – The 5th National Congress of the Vietnam – China Friendship Association got underway on Tuesday in Hanoi.
The participants reviewed the last term’s operations and worked out tasks for the future. They will continue to focus on promoting mutual understanding and developing the traditional relationship between Vietnam and China. Those attending agreed that the Association should make full use of the people’s role in diplomacy and expand their bilateral cooperation. Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Vietnam – China Cooperation Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan stressed: "The Vietnam – China Friendship Association has made a great contribution to the Party and State’s diplomatic activities and have boosted relations with China. The Association has fostered the time-honored relations, treasured by the Party, State and people of both countries".
