Vietnam-India’s ties contribute to regional peace, stability, prosperity - ảnh 1

(VOVworld) – Indian-Vietnamese bilateral ties have developed more strongly than ever, said Indian President Pranab Mukherjee in his interview with the Vietnam News Agency ahead of his visit to Vietnam, starting this Sunday. He added that during his trip to Vietnam, he will hold talks with President Truong Tan Sang and other Vietnamese leaders to promote the two countries’ strategic partnership which was established in 2007. He affirmed that Vietnamese-Indian cooperation has made significant progress in various areas ranging from politics, to defense, security, economics, science, technology, and culture.

President Mukherjee stated that Vietnam is an important pillar in India’s Look East Policy, a strategic partner of India in ASEAN and also in larger areas. India strongly praised Vietnam’s support for India at regional and international forums. He added that Vietnam and India have contributed to boosting regional ties by enhancing initiatives on regional connectivity and expanding people to people exchanges to boost each other’s position today.
