(VOVworld) – Major milestones in Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association’s development over the past 65 years were reviewed at a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the event.

The Vietnam-Soviet Union Association was founded on May 23^rd, 1950, right after Vietnam and the former Soviet Union established diplomatic ties, marking an important milestones in both countries’ friendship. After 1991, the association changed its name into Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association and continued to contribute to deepening ties between the two countries.
