Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien  was addressing the opening ceremony: “This event is intended to help Russian people better understand Vietnamese culture and cultural diversity. It also aims to enhance traditional friendship and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Russia. Through such cultural activities, we hope that more Russian tourists will come to Vietnam”.

Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia will run through June 11 with a wide range of activities being held in Moscow and Volgograd. An exhibition featuring Vietnamese silk paintings will be held at the Oriental Museum in Moscow. 35 silk painting featuring history, daily life, and landscapes of Vietnam are on display.
