Vietnamese in the US, Republic of Korea celebrate Lunar New Year
(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in the US hosted a celebration of the Lunar New Year or Tet for the Vietnamese community in Washington DC and adjacent areas on Saturday. Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh praised the overseas Vietnamese’s contributions to Vietnam’s development and to the Vietnam-US relations. He promised more favorable conditions for Vietnamese to contribute to their homeland.

On Sunday, generations of Vietnamese expatriates gathered at a ceremony hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. They met and talked with each other about traditional Lunar New Year celebrations in Vietnam and Korea.
