Vietnamese leaders congratulate America's Independence Day
(VOVworld) - State President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on July 3 cabled greeting message to President Barack Obama on the occasion of the 239th Independence Day of the United States of America.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also conveyed his congratulations to President of the US Senate Joseph Biden and House Speaker John Boehner.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh sent his greetings to US Secretary of State John Kerry.
An award ceremony for a photo contest on the Vietnam-US relations was held at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi. Chairman of the Vietnam-US Society Nguyen Tam Chien said the photo contest and exhibition were part of several activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.
