Overseas Vietnamese there said the fruit still kept its quality after long transportation and expressed hopes that Vietnamese lychees would become more available in shops and supermarkets in Australia. Nguyen Thi Hoang Thuy, a representative from Vietnam’s Trade Office in Australia, said that since the first shipment to Australia on June 12th,  more than 40 tons of Vietnamese lychees had sold out, mainly in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The Trade Office will conduct promotional campaigns in other Australian cities to encourage the fruit’s consumption.
