Vietnamese students in Russia look toward homeland’s sea and islands

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Students Association in Russia held a workshop on the situation and solutions in the East Sea on Saturday in Moscow.

Tran Phu Nhuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese People Association in Russia, briefed on recent sovereignty disputes in the East Sea, stressing that Chinese illegal acts in the East Sea not only negatively impact peace, friendship and cooperation in the region but also provoke strong reaction from the international community. The workshop helps the students understand better the situation in the East Sea.

Experts Lokshin G and Kobelev E from the Far East Institute of the Russian Science Academy made presentations on history, and legal, economic and military context in the East Sea and analyzed China’s illegal acts and their impacts on international relations in the Asia Pacific region and Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperation.
