(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh city to grant certificates to 84 outstanding Youth Union members who won 2015 Ly Tu Trong awards.

This was part of activities to mark the 84^th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh said that over the past 84 years, the Youth Union has shown its staunchness and loyalty to the Party and the nation.
Mr. Vinh said youth spirit and creativity should be further promoted in socio-economic development and national defense: “The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is determined to unite and bring into full play our ability to fulfill targets set at our 10^th National Congress. We will do our best to gain more achievements to welcome the upcoming 12^th National Party Congress”.

The same day, a meeting of outstanding Youth Union members took place in Thai Nguyen province. The participants reviewed 84 years of development of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. 18 Youth Union members were awarded the Medal for the Cause of Youth for their great contributions to Youth Union activities and movements.

The Youth Union of Lam Dong province held an online dialogue between provincial authorities and Youth Union leaders.
