Vietnam’s first industrial waste-to-energy plant debuts

(VOVworld)-The first industrial waste-to-energy plant in Vietnam was inaugurated on Monday at the Nam Son Waste Treatment Complex on the outskirts of Hanoi.

The 29 million USD project, designed to treat 75 tonnes of waste daily, aims to improve power generation and environmental protection by using Japanese exhaust treatment and heat recovery technology to power an electricity generator. During the pilot phase, the plant generated 1.93MW of electricity per day.
