As a coordinator of the project, the Ministry of Science and Technology has boosted activities to develop a nuclear power infrastructure in line with the IAEA recommendations to make Vietnam’s first project on nuclear electricity safe and effective.

Participants at the 5-day meeting discussed technical issues involved in the legal framework, nuclear and radiation safety, human resources, contingency plans, radioactive materials and waste.

Following technical discussions, both sides will make a report on the real situation of Vietnam’s nuclear power infrastructure and propose joint cooperative activities.
